Converse & hollywood superstar and Peckham native John Boyega entered into a brand partnership and as a part of this we were brought in to consult and shape the Converse Create Next campaign. 5 lucky film makers were given a 6 month opportunity to be the faces of the campaign whilst also creating a fully funded £25k short film, Executivley produced by John Boyega & Mathieu Ajan of Bounce Cinema.
Role: Campaign Consultantcy & Creative Direction
By working with 5 young film makers and documenting their journey we were able to show the process of what it really takes to bring a film to life. This also allowed us influence the create next and London creative community with this project.
The films went on to be programmed at a number of film festivals including Aesthetica Film Festival, London Short Film Festival and Ade Femzo's critically acclaimed Drop Out went on to win the Audience Award at the BFI London Film Festival!
We put our 5 directors at the centre of the campaign alongside Hollywood superstar John Boyega across billboards and instore activations, giving them all a taste of what's to come in their futures...
To make this project as inclusive as possible PAQ we're brought in to document each facet of our creators journeys.
And the project was widely sharing amongst the London creative community, generating a millions of views not only in the UK, but also across the globe. Finally everything culminated in a star studed premiere day at London's Curzon Soho where a number of talks were hosted by industry professionals alongside a Q&A hosted by Julie Adenuga featuring John Boyega himself
The project went on to have a huge impact on the careers of the filmmakers, inspiring and boosting the progress of their careers
